DeLasCasas Cathodic Protection, LLC (DLC2P) is a leading provider of advanced cathodic protection engineering services, specializing in the design, simulation, testing, inspection, and project management for the installation of cathodic protection systems. Our expertise also encompasses DC interference mitigation for underground and submerged metallic structures, including underground pipelines, underground and above-ground storage tanks, and more. Rogelio De Las Casas Monasterio
Principal Consultant, Engineering Operations Manager, Co-Founder
Graduated from the University of Havana, Cuba with a bachelor’s degree in metal physics, Rogelio De Las Casas Monasterio has firmly established himself in the world of Corrosion Engineering with over twenty-five years of combined experience in cathodic protection, DC and AC mitigation. Rogelio is capable of providing consultancy services in all of the areas of cathodic protection.

Becoming a NACE International member in 1997 and obtaining his NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist certification in 1999, Rogelio quickly became a Cathodic Protection Specialist three years after becoming a NACE member, in 2000. Currently, Rogelio is also a certified NACE CP instructor for CP-I, CP-II, CP-III, and CP-IV in both English and Spanish.

Rogelio’s main field of interest is in Simulation of CP systems, Application of Potential Theory to CP and interference problems. His Use of Mathcad and development of simulation sheets for CP, DC and AC interference studies can be seen in his papers and multiple presentations on this field of applications. Rogelio has developed a set of equations that are the state of the art in simulation of cathodic protection systems. These equations have filled a gap between the old equations that were taken originally from the design of grounding systems and the need for more accurate presentations of the cathodic protection systems. Rogelio's equations have been developed over multiple years to explain specific cases that were not accurately represented by the classical equations for resistance and potential calculations.
